Scraps From Cardiff

Article posted 20 Sep 2018

As I was studying Biology not Art, I was completely out of the habit of painting and drawing, and I produced almost nothing. I even missed the low-hanging fruit of botanical illustrations in the lab, and instead used to draw my botany diagrams on old scraps of paper, and didn’t even have the sense to use a lab book.

This lot was drawn on paper with coloured pencils en plein air at the end of summer 1993, sat on top of Garth Hill/Mountain, north of Cardiff.
