Mannlichen

Mannlichen cable car. Walked to the Mannlichen itself and could see the three peaks of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

Lunch was sandwiches at the top (J and G did advance scouting).

Played in Wengen park and drank from the fountain.

Went to the outdoor pool in Wengen (Schwimmbad) and missed the equivalent’s existence in the UK: We’ve closed all the lidos, replaced them with vastly inferior super-hot chlorine filled bathtubs and… we’re all fat and unfit now.

Dinner was at the sundeck overlooking the station – the square is so calm, helped to no small extent by the absence of cars! In fact, the whole place is just calm (There’s no wind)
