Hotto! (The car said 37C)
Felt a bit weak going down and up to the beach with J and M.
We’d planned to go to Varenna by ferry all the way—revised this to ferry from Bellagio after lunch. I felt really bad, James couldn’t sit up in the restaurant so we reined back to ice creams in the park.
James perked up but I retired to bed with a headache, so Catherine very kindly foraged for our provisions and took J and M to the swings in Limonta, and I just about managed to cook dinner. Felt a lot better after some ‘blue juice’
We leave here tomorrow (Friday!) for Zurich, and have a hight (From hell?) in the family room at Zurich Novotel before checking in at 8am in the airport.
They’re regularly hard work, sometimes highly strung and need to let off steam—in a way that 2 and 5 year-olds do…
But, they’re both engaged with their surroundings and curious about what’s going on; neither docilely obedient or simplistic in their likes.
They’ve also adapted to lots of change in a way that two weeks by the pool doesn’t demand, and we’re very proud.
