Rotating Video
I was looking to rotate a small movie clip file (.avi) before compressing with Sorenson Squeeze. Nothing fancy, just 90 degrees to the right… and couldn’t find a setting to do this! There was nothing in Sorenson itself, or WIndows Media Player or Roxio Movie thing
So, after a quick Googling found a free a piece of software to do just this:
VirtualDub (with the download available at SourceForge)
The original article was at Digitally Imported , and the suggested technique is shown here:
Step 1.
Open VirtualDub and then open your movie file (avi, mpg or divx avi). First, go to Video under the menu and click Full Processing Mode.
Step 2.
Once you have your video file opened….
First go to the Video Filters. We will want to rotate our video so it plays in landscape mode. Click the Add button, then choose the Rotate filter. rotate (90 degrees). Then Click OK
Great stuff! Thanks Avery Lee!
