Been playing with the ‘sliding doors’ technique to style a list of links into something special, and tring to come up with some 2-rowed!
My first play is on the Coredata site.
And then I see what’s out there…
web9design.com is fantastic looking, but one row only…
...and thoses tabs make it into his portfolio, too
E.g. Bertram Books
BTW THis guy also does Windows skins, at deviantart
Something Else I Noticed…
There’s a funny bit on the nice links:
onFocus=”if(this.blur)this.blur()”
Looks like this in the page:
<a href="http://www.web9design.com/" onFocus="if(this.blur)this.blur()">
Apparently, this is so the box around the link/image doesn’t appear when clicked, discussed on killersites.com
TXP Magazine
Actually, there a nice link of sites which includes the usual overlap with the Zen Garden guys, such as mearso.
And I think this must be part of what I stumbled upon in the mists of time all those months ago.
